Alex Faig

Alex litigates commercial and intellectual property disputes on behalf of businesses and individuals in Virginia. His practice focuses around federal civil litigation in the Eastern District of Virginia (“EDVA”) in addition to business torts, contract disputes, and trademark, trade secrets, and copyright disputes throughout Northern Virginia.

Alex represents clients throughout a variety of industries, including construction, healthcare, insurance, retail and hospitality, and government contracts.  In addition to litigation, he counsels clients on corporate and commercial matters, including entity formation, corporate governance, commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, employment matters, and intellectual property protection.  Below are some of his representative matters:

• Dismissal in favor of general contractor in trial involving claims of construction defects and violations of Virginia Consumer Protection Act.
• Obtained temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction against former director involving claims of breach of fiduciary duty and trade secrets misappropriation.
• Where former officer misappropriated trade secrets, negotiated pre-litigation settlement on behalf of company resulting in former officer’s termination of employment with competitor.
• Obtained judgment at trial in favor of landlord involving claims of unpaid rent and attorney’s fees.
• Dismissal in favor of client on motion to dismiss involving claims of breach of fiduciary duty and fraud.

Alex is an active member of the Northern Virginia chapter of the Federal Bar Association, Alexandria Bar Association, and Fairfax Bar Association.  He handles matters primarily within the firm’s Civil Litigation and Corporate practice groups.
