David Hirsch
David has forty years of broad experience in business representation and civil litigation, including contract matters, business torts and disputes, and general civil litigation, which he brings to the firm’s Civil Litigation Practice Group. With over four decades of experience, David has successfully counseled hundreds of clients through substantive and complex legal issues related to business representation and contracts law. He provides an experienced and thorough approach for each of his clients. As part of his practice, David routinely counsels clients on issues such as contract drafting and negotiating. He regularly reviews construction and renovation contracts.
David also represents motor vehicle dealerships and other companies in the automotive industry across Northern Virginia. He has a long-standing history with these clients, due to the high quality and client-centered representation that he provides. David also has extensive experience in representing students through state and local administrative agency disciplinary proceedings and licensing disputes.
Along with David’s four decades of litigation experience, he serves as an Arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association, handling both commercial and consumer disputes for well over 30 years. He also represents clients regularly in arbitration and mediation proceedings and has hosted several Continuing Education programs on the subject.
David previously served as a Magistrate for Virginia’s 17th Judicial Circuit. For eleven years, David was a legal instructor, for rookie law enforcement officers, on the faculty of the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Academy. Since leaving the Academy faculty at the end of 2005, David regularly returns several times a year to assist with the court training program for the rookies, to teach legal classes to veteran law enforcement personnel, and to substitute teach in the rookie legal program. David has taught many continuing education programs, for court reporters, paralegals, and attorneys, addressing criminal law and procedure.
David is an involved member of the legal community and held several leadership positions in the Fairfax Bar Association and has served on several Boards of Directors. From January 2021 until December 2025, he served as General Counsel of the Dulles Regional Chamber of Commerce.
